George discovers that Max has begun an online romance with a teenage girl from Chicago. When he assumes his son's identity to protect him from what he suspects is an internet predator, George comes face to face offline with Freddie when he and his best friend and business partner Chris (Brian Austin Green) take a business trip to Los Angeles. Ernie tries to get along with Chris. They all realize that Max and Zoey were really chatting and become friends.

  • This marks the first and only episode George Lopez crossovered with another show, the short-lived ABC-TV series "Freddie"; George (George Lopez), Max (Luis Armand Garcia and Ernie (Valente Rodriguez) appear in an episode of that series aptly titled "Freddie Gets Cross Over George".
    • Coincidentally, both shows were led by Hispanic-American actors (George Lopez and Freddie Prinze Jr. respectively).
  • George had also posed as Carmen online in the episode "Curious George".
  • When George shows a picture of his family, Freddie mistakes Benny for a garden gnome. Later in the (Season Six episode "George Can't Let Sleeping Mexicans Lie", George comments on how their neighbor's garden gnome looks like Benny.
  • Brian Austin Green (Chris) also worked with Valente Rodriguez (Ernie) in the fifth season episode "Injustice For All" of the FOX TV series Beverly Hills 90210.
  • Ernie, getting ready for the "pervert" from Chicago, was trying to perform "The Crane move", a move shown in the movie The Karate Kid.
