Earl is a minor character who appears in the Season Two episode of George Lopez titled "Profiles in Courage" (episode #18). The part of Earl is played in the episode by Steven Montfort, who also makes two appearances as an L.A. police officer in the Season Three episodes "What George Doesn't Noah..." (episode #27) and "Now George Noah Ex-Zack-Ly What Happened" (episode #28).
When George informs the Powers Bros. line workers that background checks were needed for those being considered to work on an upcoming U.S. Government defense project, Earl, who echoes the sentiments of others, wonders why all of the workers have to have a background check, but, with an unknowing hint of ethnic intolerance, says he could understand why Hosni, a fellow line worker also applying for a position working on the project, has to do it, because of his Middle Eastern background.
