A bounty hunter by trade and a former bail bondsman, Duane starred in the A&E Network program Dog the Bounty Hunter, a weekly reality television program which ran for eight seasons. from 2004-12. He also starred on the CMT Network reality television program Dog and Beth: On the Hunt which aired from April 21, 2013 to August 22, 2015.
