Sitcom writer and producer Dave Caplan (born David A. Caplan on May 6, 1959) served as an executive producer for George Lopez in Season 4-6; he also wrote episodes during this period.

About Dave[]

Born in Los Angeles, California, Caplan graduated from the film school at Cal State University, Northridge (CSUN) with a Bachelor of Arts. He also holds a Masters Degree in Media Psychology. Caplan began his career when he was accepted into the prestigious Warner Brothers Writers Workshop in 1989, having his script chosen out of thousands of submissions.[3]

Caplan wrote several episodes of the ABC-TV animates series Dinosaurs with his writing partner Brian LaPan. In 2015, Caplan became a co-executive producer on The Muppets and wrote several episodes of the TV series. Most recently, Caplan was writer/Executive Producer/co-showrunner for the FX comedy Anger Management, starring Charlie Sheen.[3]

Dave's other credits include scripts for Roseanne and Parker Lewis Can't Lose and executive producer of the sitcoms Kelly Kelly, The Drew Carey Show, and George Lopez.
