Cecelia Lopez is a character who appears in the Season Two episode of George Lopez titled "Who's Your Daddy?", the season opener. The part of Cecelia is played in the episode by Olga Merediz.
About Cecelia[]
Cecelia is the sister of Manny Lopez, Benny's ex-husband, and George's estranged dad, whom he had been told for years, since Benny's divorce from him when he was still a toddler.
When George and Benny go shoopping together to Costco, they, by happenstance, run into Cecelia, who's also shopping there; when she sees and recognized the two, George (whom she said she could recognize by his "Big ears"!) and Benny, she cries out to Bunny "Benny! Benny Lopez!", as she hasn't seen the two in years, when George was an infant. When Benny sees Cecilia shopping moments earlies, she tries to act inconspicous to hide from her, but fails when Cecelia calls out to her, as she then hurries out of the store. As Cecelia and George strike up a conversation, George learns from his aunt that his dad Manny is still alive, and, although Cecelia said that she lost contact with him, that he had been living up in Northern California from when she last talked to him a few years earlier.
Much to the chagrin of Benny, Cecilia pops up at the Lopez house to give George an album of photos of Manny and he as an infant; George has to try to get Benny and Cecelia, who apparently had bad feelings towards one another, to mend fences after 30 years.
